Greetings from California

You won’t be hearing much from me this week because I am in California for a conference, but I want to re-iterate that the biggest tip when traveling: do not eat at the hotel! One of my coworkers recently got to enjoy an $18 burger and fries :(

    Are you staying at Disneyland? :) When we went to Disney, my wife and I bought some meal passes from eBay and they saved us about $80 for the two days we were there.

    A bunch of friends of mine and I went down to New Orleans for Mardi Gras this year, in a classic drunk move my friend ordered a hamburger at around 3 or 4 am (it’s hazy). Final bill was $15. We went downstairs for lunch the next day and on the menu was a burger for $5. We still bring it up from time to time. :)
